SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA – Welcome Home Troops, a national organization dedicated to improving the lives all veterans, has engaged the internationally-renowned public, government, and internet outreach firm KCOMM to assist it in bringing its message of hope and healing to the broadest audience possible.
“We could not be more excited to have KCOMM on board as part of the team,” said Welcome Home Troops (WHT) Chairwoman Sue Rebar. “We are already extremely impressed with the wisdom and concepts they have brought to us and we expect even more great work in the future.”
WHT is known for a number of current projects, including assisting with veterans as they transition stateside, offering help with PTSD issues, and a unique program that provides veterans and their families with stress-free event days (tickets for NASCAR races, tickets to baseball games, etc.) that allow the men and women who have served our nation and their families a chance to put every complication aside for at least a day and just have fun together.
KCOMM, said President Sinan Kanatsiz, will work to build those programs and help initiate new projects, including the creation of a traveling physical and digital memorial to honor every person has served – especially those who have given their lives – since 9/11 during the war on terror.
“Sometimes business is just that – business. But from the moment we first met with Sue and the Welcome Home Troops our firm knew we had to do everything we could do to help them get the word out about their amazing group,” Kanatsiz said. “We are fully dedicated and committed to doing everything we can to help Welcome Home Troops and we are truly honored that we now have the opportunity to work such an impactful and caring organization.”
KCOMM will be assisting with the creation of a new WHT website, improving its on-line and social media presence, and help to launch the upcoming major capital campaign to create the traveling memorial project.
“We knew we needed to ‘step it up’ on this side of our efforts,” said Rebar. “And KCOMM is the perfect fit!”
At Welcome Home Troops, we believe that community is more than just a word – it's the cornerstone of our mission. We strive to create a supportive and inclusive environment for veterans and their families, where they can feel connected, valued, and understood.
When a veteran, like Zachary Bodek, requests a ticket to an upcoming event (like the exciting NASCAR race!), we don't just hand it over. We see it as an opportunity to foster deeper connections.
Zachary initially requested a single ticket. Our Founder, Sue Rebar, recognized a chance to build community. She reached out to Zachary to explore the possibility of bringing a friend or family member along.
Imagine Zachary's surprise when Sue contacted him on his wedding day! With a little luck and perfect timing, Welcome Home Troops was able to offer Zachary and his new wife a pair of infield tickets to the NASCAR race.
This personal touch exemplifies our commitment to individualized support. We believe in going the extra mile to ensure that each veteran feels valued and that their unique needs are addressed.
To further strengthen the bonds within our community, we host pre-race tailgate parties. These events offer a relaxed and social atmosphere where veterans and their families can connect, enjoy free food and beverages, and engage in fun activities before the race begins.
For over 15 years, Welcome Home Troops has been dedicated to supporting veterans and their families. We are proud of the community we have built and the positive impact we have made on the lives of countless individuals.
Whether you're a veteran, a family member, or simply someone who wants to support our mission, we invite you to join the Welcome Home Troops community. Together, we can create a brighter future for those who have served our country.
