Earth Day Restoration Saturday April 22, 2023

We are proud to announce our collaboration with The Mission Continues, Merging Vets and Players, Brentwood Schools, The Bandini Foundation, Disabled American Veterans and West LA VA Hospital in our Earth Day Restoration Project at Japanese Garden in West LA VA. Nestled in the heart of West Los Angeles in 3.5 acres of land that is dedicated to providing a peaceful area for Veterans to get away from traffic and enjoy an atmosphere of serenity.
With the collective efforts of volunteers, the area of the Japanese Garden is able to maintain its beauty. We welcome all volunteers to join us in this restoration effort.
What will be conducted on Earth Day:
We will be spreading mulch, area beautification with hand tools and clearing all weeds and performing area beautification.
Volunteers are encouraged to wear boots and clothing that can get dirty.
Food, drinks and safety equipment will be provided on site.
Volunteering:
We have 3 available schedules to volunteer for.
Morning Shift: 9:00am - 11:30am
Afternoon Shift: 1:00pm - 3:00pm
All Day Shift: 9:00am - 3:00pm

Prior to the event, an email will be sent to remind each volunteer of the parking coordination for the event. Please also refer to the map below on this page. We will be parking in Parking Lot 7 on the West LA VA Campus and shuttles will be assisting volunteers with transportation to the area of restoration.
Food, drinks and equipment will be provided to all volunteers.
