LAS VEGAS, NV, – Flanked by American flags and joined by veterans on stage, Sue Rebar, leader of the veteran’s service organization Welcome Home Troops, delivered an inspired – and inspiring – opening address at the recent Internet Marketing Association annual even in Las Vegas.
Following IMA chair Sinan Kanatsiz’s resounding welcome to the nearly 900 IMPACT16 event attenders, Rebar spoke from her heart about the difficulties so many of our nation’s veterans face when they come home from overseas and how the organization can help be the voice or the needs of service members.
The performance by Jamilex Rodriguez of ‘The Star Spangled Banner” and the presence on stage of veterans who have served so bravely truly moved attendees, many of whom spoke to Rebar afterwards to find out how to support Welcome Home Troops.
“The people I met, the information I received, the joy I felt at IMPACT16 in Las Vegas was astonishing,” Rebar said. “We were so honored to be part of the conference and we met so many people and organizations that wanted to help our veterans it was truly fantastic!”
Numerous firms and individuals met with Rebar at the event to discuss supporting Welcome Home Troops and she particularly noted how Kanatsiz has helped the organization “capture its vision” and to share that vision with others.
“I cannot thank the IMA enough for the opportunity to not only participate in the event but to actually help lead it.” Rebar said. “We will stay close to the IMA forever!”
